Monday TV Wrap: Dancing With The Stars Loses Viewers Post-Premiere

Despite a strong launch on Sunday night, Dancing With The Stars: All Stars had a drop of 186,000 for Monday night’s show, ultimately waltzing away with 558,000 viewers.

Episode two introduced a new group of competing celebrities and saw model and actress Erin McNaught get eliminated after her Viennese waltz failed to win over the judges.

Her husband, the rapper Example, was clearly unimpressed and commented, “the only people who trained harder than you were the Channel Seven script department who knew the results for this entire series before anyone stepped on the dance floor 🏆” on her Instagram.

MAFS tangoed into top spot with 1,093,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data, but also experienced a decrease from Sunday night.

It was the show’s penultimate episode as Alana unexpectedly left Jason at the last minute in their final vow renewal ceremony, while Melissa made the decision to stay with Bryce.

In second place was Seven News with 998,000 viewers, beating Nine News which had 970,000.

A Current Affair nabbed 812,000 viewers for Nine, while ABC News had 686,000.

The rest of the ABC’s night saw 7.30 score 543,000 viewers, while Australian Story had 524,000, Four Corners had 464,000 and Media Watch had 445,000.

For Seven Home And Away had 564,000 viewers while The Chase had 531,000.

At Nine, Hot Seat scored 431,000 viewers and Law & Order: Organised Crime had 414,000.

Finally, for 10, The Project was their best performer at 489,000 viewers, while 10 News First had 390,000.

The Nine Network won the night with 33 per cent of the daily share while the Seven Network came in second with 25 per cent. The ABC network beat Network 10 by one per cent of the share, with 16 and 15 per cent respectively.

The SBS Network had eight per cent.
