Tuesday TV Wrap: Married At First Sight Stays Wedded To The Top

Married At First Sight’s second episode beat the news by ninety thousand viewers to top the most-watched list.

The eighth season of the reality TV experiment secured 992,000 viewers, an increase from last night’s premiere in a win for Channel Nine.

According to Oztam’s data, MAFS was Tuesday’s biggest success story, topping Seven News which had 902,000 viewers.

In other news (literally), Nine News secured bronze with 871,000 viewers while A Current Affair had 720,000. It’s perhaps not a surprise then that the Nine network won the highest daily share with thirty-four per cent.

ABC News and 7.30 had 683,000 and 503,000 respectively, while ABC’s other programs, Foreign Correspondent and Catalyst had 390,000 and 303,000.

Seven’s night saw Home and Away get 460,000 viewers, while The Chase had 457,000. Highway Patrol Special had 303,000 viewers and The Good Doctor had 294,000.

The Amazing Race was 10’s best-performing show with 459,000 viewers, while The Project had 415,000 and 10 News First had 306,000.

Nine’s other programming included Botched with 386,000 viewers and Hot Seat with 360,000.

The SBS’s best performer was Great Australian Railway Journeys with 234,000 viewers.

In terms of daily share, following Nine was the Seven Network with twenty-two percent, then Network 10 with eighteen per cent. The ABC (all channels) had fifteen per cent, and the SBS (all channels) had eight per cent.
