“We Are Smoking Meth”: Australia Post Apologises For Errant Message

Australia Post has apologised after a rogue and offensive message appeared on the company’s official website.

For a brief period on Saturday morning, the message “we are smoking meth” appeared under the ‘latest news’ tab on the homepage.

According to reports, the message remained on the website for around an hour.

The message was promptly deleted from the website.

Speaking to 7News, Australia Post said it had taken action against the likely culprit.

“We apologise to our customers for the unauthorised offensive post,” a spokesperson said the publication.

“The offending message has been removed and we have disabled the account that posted it.”

The offending post has since attracted plenty of attention on social media.

“With how many letters and packages they lose a year, explains a lot,” one Twitter user said in response to news of the error.

“I have to admit I get really good service from them all the time. but my postie is a very happy bloke,” said another.
