Social studio Jack Nimble has appointed James McInnes in the newly created role of head of social.

McInnes joins during what the company describes as “a phenomenal year”, which has seen Jack Nimble double in size and secure numerous awards for its blend of social-first creative and nimble production.

With a mix of international experience across the entertainment industry, agencies and start-ups, McInnes’ true understanding of what works across social will see him take the lead in delivering the social strategy and vision for Jack Nimble’s clients, the company said in a statement.

With a track record for growing businesses and nurturing talent, McInnes will help to fuel the agency’s growth trajectory and expand its social offering into emerging platforms.

He joins Jack Nimble after his return from LA, where he was instrumental in the growth of social agency Benchmob, with his role as general manager seeing him oversee the delivery of global digital, social and content strategies across clients such as AriZona Iced Tea, Diplo, Major Lazer, and Flume.

Speaking about the appointment, Jack Nimble’s co-founder and creative director, Adam Wise said: “We’re really happy for James to be joining us.

“His entrepreneurial spirit, experience in driving culture, and passion for social-first content is exactly what we’re looking for as we strive to continue delivering the very best social content for brands.

“Angus [another Jack Nimble co-founder] and I had the pleasure of working alongside James in the past—his understanding of what actually works on social and his compassionate approach to working with others make him the perfect fit for the culture we’re building.”
