Sunday TV Wrap: The Block Screws & Rivets Rivals

As boring as it’s becoming to write, The Block was once again Sunday night’s standout by the proverbial country mile.

The episode proper pulled 1.012 million viewers, rising to 1.061 million for the room winner according to OzTAM metro numbers.

That left Seven’s Beat The Chasers with 630,000 (down 30,000 on last week’s debut) and 10’s Junior MasterChef with 526,000.

Nine easily won the night with 32.3 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). That left Seven with 23.7 per cent, 10 snuck home for third with 18.6 per cent, the ABC grabbed a neat 18 and SBS did 7.4 per cent.

In the battle of the news bulletins, the US elections didn’t really give anyone a boost, Seven posting 954,000, Nine had 931,000, the ABC’s 7pm bulletin did 660,000 and 10 News First came last with 312,000.

Nine’s 60 Minutes did 649,000 and 10’s The Sunday Project had 471,000.

Other highlights for the ABC included Restoration Australia (522,000) and Roadkill (380,000).

Proving it was a rather slow Sunday, the ABC’s kid show Bluey was the 11th most-watched show of the day, posting 392,000.
