Facebook Encourages Americans To Enrol To Vote In New Work From Droga5

Having been accused of publishing misinformation, trolls and other assorted misdemeanours in the 2016 US election, Facebook is playing the “nice guy card” for November’s poll between Trump and Biden with a new campaign urging Americans to enrol to vote.

Called “More Questions, More Answers,” the campaign aims to get four million Americans to register and vote this year.

The spot’s the work of Droga5 New York and was directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schneider, better known for their work on rap music videos.

In a statement, Facebook said the campaign is “a nonpartisan effort” and was designed with COVID in mind, adding: “Designed to help people navigate a confusing election process. It is based on lessons from our COVID-19 Information Centre, which has been providing accurate and authoritative information from health authorities about the pandemic since March. This will do the same for voting.”
