The Peers Project Is Shaking Up The Media Industry & Giving Diverse Voices A Platform

Specialist podcast production agency, The Peers Project, is shaking up the media industry by producing branded podcasts for Australian brands and giving diverse voices a platform.

From leading fashion retailer, Forever New, to award-winning underwear brand, Modibodi, The Peers Project has helped some of the country’s most progressive brands intimately connect with a wider audience through podcasting.

Founded and led by BIPOC female, Michelle Akhidenor, the company aims to give brands an intimate medium to share their brand values, mission, and vision, as well as give them an opportunity to showcase diverse voices through the stories that are featured and the guests that appear.

Michelle Akhidenor said, “Podcasts give brands an opportunity to showcase authentic stories in a more intimate way than print & traditional media. Every branded podcast we produce is centred around the brand’s narrative, which allows them to engage with their audience on a a deeper level.”

“As a BIPOC woman, I aim to create more diverse representation within Australian media by encouraging the brands we work with to give diverse voices a platform through the power of podcasting. ”
