During an unprecedented year, businesses both large and small have faced extensive challenges in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. With many examples of businesses pivoting in recent months, diversification has become the key to getting through this period.

Leading events and exhibitions company, DisplayWise, along with its sister company Creative Hire, felt the immediate impact of the health crisis, with the events industry effectively shutting down overnight.

Seeking to utilise existing expertise in industrial design and manufacturing, BARE Hygiene was born to provide businesses and venues with a stylish solution to meet the COVID-19 requirements for hand sanitisation.

DisplayWise CEO, Dylan Retif, explained: “There was a clear gap in the market for premium, well-designed hand sanitisation units, and being designed and made in Australia, we could be quick to market with our solution.

“We saw the need and we moved quickly to design, protype, test, produce and market a new range unlike anything currently available. It all happened very quickly; we developed the range in under four weeks.”

BARE Hygiene incorporates the Contemporary, Endure, Vogue and Luxe ranges, with freestanding, countertop and wall-mounted options. All units come in a choice of premium finishes and can be custom branded to suit.

Group marketing director Lisa Cachia said the range was inspired by the array of clients the company had worked with throughout its almost twenty years of experience building displays.

“We designed the range with many of our existing clients in mind,” Cachia added. “We work with a range of premium brands in industries including retail, technology, financial and professional services, automotive and hospitality.

“The range provides these businesses with a far superior option as opposed to a bottle of hand sanitiser on a counter. We have given them the choice of several aesthetically striking designs that can really complement their space.”

The company hopes to be back in the exhibition game as soon as possible and is already working proactively with many of its clients to design stands in preparation for industry’s reopening.

It is also working extensively in the retail space, helping clients with showroom fitouts, experiential activations and point of sale requirements.

However, with hand sanitisation expected to be a health recommendation for many years to come, BARE Hygiene will become another core service area of the business and here to meet market demand for the long term.
