Missing The Cinema? Enjoy A Choc Top At Home Via Coles And Bulla
Just because cinemas are shut doesn’t mean you have to miss out on your favourite movie snacks.
For the first time ever, Bulla Dairy Foods’ (Bulla) Choc Tops will be available for purchase in Coles supermarkets across the nation for a limited time only from Wednesday 27th May.
While many Aussies have taken to their couches to recreate the cinema experience, Bulla and Coles understood consumers were missing an important piece of the iso-movie night puzzle – the much-loved Choc Top – and have partnered on a solution to bring this fan-favourite treat to local supermarkets, and homes, across the country.
This partnership has also allowed Bulla to reassign some of its factory staff impacted by the shutdown of cinemas to the packing these products to ensure they are suitable for sale in Coles.
Commenting on the partnership Bulla CEO Allan Hood said: “Since the closure of cinemas across the country, we have been working hard to find alternative solutions to ensure Aussies don’t miss out on the high-quality products they know and love during these trying times.”
“We are thankful for the support of Coles in partnering with us to enable movie (and ice cream) lovers across the country to recreate the authentic movie night experience in their own home, complete with our Bulla Choc Tops.”
“The Choc Top is synonymous with cinema outings and as Australia eagerly awaits their return, we are still working closely with our cinema partners to ensure there is plenty of product to supply once they are open again to the public,” Allan added.
Coles CMO Lisa Ronson said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with a family-owned business like Bulla to inspire our customers with the famous Choc Top in our supermarket aisles. Home movie nights across Australia will get a major boost with this cinema classic and we know our customers will be very excited to add the delicious treat to their shopping list while they wait to get back to their favourite movie theatres.”
“Over the past two months Coles has worked with dozens of new and existing food and drink suppliers who’ve been directly impacted by closures of bars, restaurants, entertainment venues and the travel industry. Through this process we truly hope we’ve helped them find a way to get through this challenging time and we thank them for bringing amazing products to our shelves for our customers to enjoy at home with their loved ones.”
True to its strong values as a family owned company, for the last eight weeks Bulla has also been delivering thousands of Choc Tops to health care workers across the country as a small token of appreciation for all their work during the pandemic.
