Nine Announces New Melbourne Publicity & Marketing Roles

Nine has flagged changes to its publicity and marketing departments in its Melbourne offices.

In an email to staff, Matt Scriven managing director Melbourne announced the new roles following the evolution and growth of the Nine business.

“As you all know the needs of our business are evolving and we have a significant opportunity with arguably Australia’s strongest stable of media brands in a capital city market,” he wrote.

Michelle Stamper will step into the role of director – marketing and partnerships, while Terry Stuart (feature image) will take over responsibility for leading the publicity team in his role as communications manager – Melbourne, part of the broader Nine Communications Team led by Victoria Buchan.

Stamper will report to Scriven and sit on the Melbourne executive team run by Lizzie Young, while Terry will continue to report to Stamper and Buchan.

Stamper’s new remit will cover the development and execution of local marketing strategies to amplify the work of the network marketing team for Channel 9 Melbourne and 3AW, local activations, sponsorships and partnerships for these brands and also The Age.

She will also be responsible for developing opportunities to drive the growth of the Nine Group of companies and brands in Melbourne.
