UNICEF Turns World Children’s Day Into #WorldChildrensSay Via BMF

To celebrate World Children’s Day, UNICEF Australia has partnered with creative agency BMF to launch an initiative that gives children a say on how they’d change the world for the better.

Introducing #WorldChildrensSay.

The social media campaign aims to give kids a voice on the issues that will affect their future and to do so, UNICEF invites children and young people (with a helping hand from the grown-ups in their lives) to post their ideas on social media with the hashtag #WorldChildrensSay.

Watch the short film below:

The campaign has already garnered support from influencers of the likes of Todd Sampson and his daughters Coco and Jet and Adam Liaw and his kids Anna and Christopher, as well as Qantas and the Melbourne Rebels.

BMF group creative director, Luke Martin said: “Whatever issues children are passionate about, from equality to the environment to education, World Children’s Day is the time to hear their voices.

“That’s why we’d love for everyone to get involved, because the only thing more important than a day when we celebrate children, is a day when we actually listen to them.”

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

1. Ask your child to write, draw or film their idea to change the world (what they say might surprise you)

2. Upload their post to social media with #WorldChildrensSay and tag @unicefaustralia

3. Share it, make your post public, and tag your friends to spread the message
