Tuesday TV Wrap: Are Royal Docos On The Nose?

Continuing a recent spate of Royal documentaries, last night’s ABC iteration, Prince Charles: Inside The Duchy Of Cornwall, managed a rather republican-like 343,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.

In a quiet Wednesday, The Block was the standout entertainment show, however, failed to crack the million-mark.

Still, its 896,000 still handed Nine the win with 30.5 per cent audience share (all channels). Seven had 28.5 per cent, 10 did 17.8 per cent and the ABC had 14.4 per cent. While SBS did 8.8 per cent thanks, again, to Building Britain’s Canals that posted an impressive 261,000.

Over at 10, The Amazing Race pulled 522,000, The Project had 434,000 and One Born Every Minute did 338,000.

Seven’s claimed the most watched show of the night, its 6pm news pulling 922,000. Other standouts for the network, included Home And Away (578,000), The Chase (549,000) and Bride And Prejudice (467,000).

For Nine, Love Island continues to plummet, managing just 309,000 last night (prime channel).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (301,000) sneaked over the all-important 300k mark, leaving Today with just 179,000.

The ABC’s other highlights included 7pm news (593,000), 7.30 (469,000) and Dream Gardens (300,000).
