Sunday TV Wrap: The All New Monty & The Wallabies’ Loss Dominate

Fears the Wallabies will be bundled out early of the World Cup appear to be coming true, but the team’s still pulling good audiences for broadcaster 10.

Yesterday’s 29-25 defeat to Wales reached a post-match high of 387,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers. A further 217,000 watched the game on Foxtel.

Seven’s The all New Monty: Ladies’ Night Performance had a strong debut with 1.031 million. While Secret Bridesmaids’ Business was less hot, it only managed 426,000.

None of this really affected The Block, it did well with 1.032 million.

Seven won Sunday with in the tightest of margins taking 32.5 per cent of the eyeballs (all channels). Nine posted 32.4 per cent, the ABC stole third and 14 per cent, 10 did 13.1 per cent and SBS did a neat eight per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news (957,000) beat Nine’s (878,000). While 60 Minutes did 573,000.

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (584,000), The Pool (396,000) and Les Norton (297,000).

Best for SBS was a repeat of Great Indian Railway Journeys that pulled 183,000.
