John Ibrahim’s Son To Sue The Telegraph Over Mafia References

John Ibrahim’s Son To Sue The Telegraph Over Mafia References

Son of John Ibrahim Daniel Taylor has launched legal action against The Sunday Telegraph over a story that suggested he is a “mobster”.

The paper ran the 24-page exposé in June of this year titled ‘Inside the house of Ibrahim: Unauthorised’.

It is alleged by Taylor in court documents that the publication described him as “John Ibrahim’s wise guy son” in the story, despite knowing it was false to describe him as such.

The wise guy description showed “reckless indifference amounting to wilful blindness in making the allegation that the applicant is a wise guy when they had no basis whatever to do so” according to the documents, snippets of which were published in The Sydney Morning Herald.

Taylor is also accusing the Nationwide News-owned paper of wrongly suggesting he is a “mobster”, “member of the mafia” and a “criminal involved in organised crime”.

Nationwide News has not filed documents in the case.
