Is Ten Using Gogglebox To Sh*tcan Nine?

Australia’s newest drama, Bad Mothers, has failed to impress the cast of Ten’s Gogglebox, with one cast member calling it a “sh*t show”.

The new Nine drama follows the lives of five women living in an affluent part of Melbourne whose children attend the same primary school.

Although it managed to pull decent ratings across its first two episodes, it did not garner the same enthusiastic response from the critics on Channel Ten’s Gogglebox.

The second Bad Mothers episode, which aired on Monday night at 9pm, drew 644,000 eyeballs, slightly up from the first episode of 642,000.

Controversial actress Melissa George plays charity queen and mother’s group leader Charlotte, who is murdered after it was revealed she had an affair with the husband of her best friend, Sarah (Tess Haubrich).

And, although the storyline has very strong similarities to HBO’s Big Little Lies, the acting was labeled “shocking” by the Goggleboxer cast members.

Di said: “God this is so, so bad”.

Anastasia yelled: “Have you ever thought of not being on TV because you’re a s**t actress?”

The episode concludes with Charlotte’s mysterious murder, yet even that wasn’t enough to make the Goggleboxers want to watch again.

Anastasia commented: “It’s a s**t show”, while Adam said: “Well that was another OK Australian drama”.

The Goggleboxers weren’t the only ones who were failed to be impressed, with social media users taking to Twitter to air their thoughts.
