An Apology To Mark Waugh

Yesterday, B&T published an article titled “Gaffe-prone commentator Mark Waugh drops the C-bomb live to air“.

Waugh, a former Australian Test and one-day cricketer, is now a commentator for the Big Bash League and during a break in play in a game on Saturday night inadvertently described one of the players as a “lucky c*nt”.

The gaffe follows on from another indiscretion last October where Waugh unfortunately mangled Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman’s name live-to-air.

It would appear B&T’s article has made it to the man himself and yesterday Waugh tweeted: “Bit harsh/gaffe prone. Been commentating for 10 years and can’t remember too many.”

B&T takes Waugh’s riposte onboard and unreservedly apologises for any hurt the article caused.

However, in our defence, we do present footage of Waugh dropping three catches during a Test match against Pakistan in 2002:
