Medium Rare To Handle Publishing & Sales Duties For Jetstar’s Magazine & Digital Content

Jetstar Airways has awarded Medium Rare Content its new contract to supply publishing and sales services in Australia and New Zealand.

The airline’s monthly inflight magazine will be redesigned and relaunched in October 2018, with Medium Rare to also publish Jetstar Asia’s bi-monthly magazine from the November/December 2018 issue.

Hardie Grant Media was the incumbent publisher for Jetstar’s magazine, having won the contract in 2016.

In addition to the print editions, Medium Rare will work closely with Jetstar’s content team to create dedicated stories and videos for the airline’s digital channels, including Jetstar.com and targeted EDMs.

It will also handle media sales for all platforms, including ambient advertising.

Catriona Larritt, chief customer officer at Jetstar Airways, said: “We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to working with Medium Rare to create a new concept for our inflight magazine and travel content for our digital channels.

“We know our customers love reading and researching about new places to explore, discovering hidden gems and travelling off the beaten track.

“We look forward to sharing stories about the incredible variety of experiences that can be enjoyed across our network of more than 85 destinations to help inspire their next trip.”

Gerry Reynolds, managing director at Medium Rare, said: “We’re delighted to be given the opportunity to create a new-look Jetstar magazine, as well as inspirational and practical digital content.

“And we look forward to providing advertisers with many cross-platform opportunities to reach a diverse and engaged audience that includes Millennials, families and small business owners.

“As the publisher of Qantas magazine and its digital extensions, as well as QantasLink’s Spirit magazine, we look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with Australia’s most iconic airline group.”

Jacqueline Lunn has been appointed as editor for Jetstar’s magazine and digital channels, and has wide-ranging experience in both print and digital publishing.
