Monday TV Wrap: Seven Takes The Win As The ABC Gives Everyone A Scare

The ABC’s Monday night of current affairs has again proven a hit for the national broadcaster pulling more viewers than rival shows on the free to airs.

Australian Story (787,000) and 7.30 (746,000) won their time slots, beating the likes of Seven’s Instant Hotel (587,000) and Nine’s Family Food Fight (549,000) in the process.

On the back of catch-up channels, Seven won the night with 28.7 per cent viewer share, Nine was second with 23.6 per cent, the ABC had 22.6 per cent, Ten pulled in 18.2 per cent and the SBS had 6.8 per cent.

Seven’s best was its 6pm news bulletin with 957,000, followed by Home And Away (689,000), Instant Hotel (587,000) and The Chase (561,000).

Nine’s night went thus: 6pm news ((910,000), ACA (749,000), Family Food Fight (549,000), Hot Seat (463,000) and Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders (280,000).

Ten could finally celebrate a show going above the half-a-million mark with Have you Been Paying Attention? pulling 695,000. The Project managed a respectable 494,000.

Four Corners (717,000), Media Watch (631,000) and Q&A (506,000) compromised the rest of the ABC’s night.

For SBS, its best was Michael Mosley: Nine Months That Made You that pulled 205,000 viewers.
