TV Wrap: Seven’s House Rules Retains Its Sunday Reality Crown

Seven’s House Rules was once again the most watched reality show of Sunday night and that’s despite being up against a three-hour epic marathon from Nine’s The Voice.

House Rules bagged bragging rights pulling 1.12 million viewers according to overnight OzTam figures. The Voice sang up 947,000 viewers and Ten’s MasterChef was a distant third only managing to scrape over the 700,000-mark by 9000 viewers.

Nine still managed to win the evening overall taking home 31.4 per cent viewers share. Seven was second with 31.4 per cent, Ten managed 16.8 per cent, the ABC had 13.6 per cent and SBS seven per cent.

It was also a rare win for Nine news, beating arch-rival Seven by 1.23 million to Seven’s 1.18 million.

In the battle for Sunday night current affair bragging rights, Seven’s Sunday Night (780,000) beat Nine’s 60 Minutes (743,000).

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news bulletin pulled 708,000, Doctor Who managed 447,000, Poldark had 431,000, and Death In Paradise scored 285,000.

The best for the SBS was its Treasures Decoded with 383,000.
