The White Agency Fed Up With Lack Of Female Heads, Promptly Promotes Eight

Reflecting its commitment to recognise, reward and develop talented women in the digital industry, The White Agency has announced a number of significant senior female promotions across its business.

White has promoted a total of eight women to senior positions within the business, three of whom will also now sit on the agency’s Leadership Team.

“There is a perception that the digital industry is largely dominated by men and I think across many agencies and internal teams this is often the norm,” said Andrew Davenport, managing director at The White Agency.

“However, this imbalance is definitely not the case at White, where we have been working hard to build and develop the talented women who have come to work here, across all of the areas of our business. The number of recent promotions is testament to both the skills and dedication of those within our business, and also to the agency’s commitment to nurturing talent from within.”

Agency Leadership Roles

Ingrid Prowse has been promoted to client partner, where she moves from managing clients’ day-to-day digital operations to a more holistic role allowing her to focus on delivering strategic leadership to drive clients’ overarching digital vision and business goals through technology.

Commenting on her new role, Prowse said: “I’m really excited to take on this new challenge as client partner and look forward to being able to make an even stronger contribution to our clients’ businesses and to agency direction. We’ve built a great team here at White and I’m looking forward to helping steer more of it.”

Setting new standards in maternity leave benefits, The White Agency has also promoted a returning employee at the conclusion of her leave. Vanessa Lopes returns to the agency in a new position of business lead for one of the agency’s biggest clients. In this new role, Lopes will be responsible for leading the account through technology transitions and relocation. Lopes will also work closely with Davenport on all new client relationships and the Sitecore technology partnership.

Sharon Queen also steps into a broader leadership role becoming the agency’s new production director after two years of excellent performance with White delivering and leading the biggest team in the agency.

“Ingrid, Vanessa and Sharon will also sit on White’s Leadership Team, where they will be able to make an important contribution to the agency’s growth, development and future direction,” said Davenport.

Other Promotions

The new faces on the White Leadership Team aren’t the only women enjoying current success at The White Agency. In the account service department, White has also announced the promotion of Abi Scott from senior account director to group account director and Sarah Emslie to senior account director. Whilst in production, Adele Graham has been promoted to senior producer and Mauli Ryan’s tireless service has been rewarded with a promotion to senior producer, team lead.

“White attracts great people – it’s a pleasure to reward and retain stars within the business. Every one of these women is a fantastic, valuable contributor to the agency’s success.  I’m particularly happy to be able to promote talent from within,” said Davenport.

If you’ve got stellar female talent in your agency, make sure you nominate them for a Women in Media Award. There’s still a week to get your entry in before we close them off completely.
