Leadership Shakeups At NewsLifeMedia!

There’s changes afoot at the offices of magazine publishers NewsLifeMedia with news this morning Prue Cox has taken the position of chief commercial officer and Julian Delany (pictured above) as chief digital officer.

Both roles are effective immediately and will report to CEO of NewsLifeMedia, Nicole Sheffield.

In her new role Cox will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s commercial operations including the growth of NewsLifeMedia’s revenue streams and establishing new revenue opportunities.

Cox said: “This is an exciting time in our business. NewsLifeMedia’s specialised content focused sales model is working really well. The company’s thought leadership and expertise in developing content for clients that connects is the commercial centre piece of our great brands. I look forward to evolving our new and diversified revenue streams, including the recently launched LifeLab, and introducing new technology partnerships to accelerate commercial opportunities for our market leading digital assets to deliver innovative customer solutions.”

After an 18-month contract with the business commercial director Sev Celik is leaving NewsLifeMedia at the end of the year. Cox will absorb the functions of this role as part of her broader remit.

Sheffield said: “I’m delighted to promote Prue to this new role, she is highly experienced executive who is the ideal person to take the company’s commercial operations forward. Her experience working in the commercial side of our business and driving the growth of two of our biggest digital brands means she is well positioned to build on our successes and create even more innovative solutions for our clients and consumers across all platforms.”

Delany enters a newly created position of chief digital officer, where he will be responsible for NewsLifeMedia’s overall digital strategy including product development, commercial growth, digital partnerships and new digital assets. He continues to be accountable for news.com.au as managing director of the brand and assumes responsibility of parenting site, Kidspot.com.au.

This promotion is clear recognition of the outstanding job he has done. As the transformation of our business continues this is a very important appointment for NewsLifeMedia’s future growth with our focus on building high performing digital networks in our key categories of news and lifestyle.”
