Wednesday TV Wrap: Bachie Pumps The Block

Wednesday TV Wrap: Bachie Pumps The Block

A changing of the guard? Well, it might be too early to say that, but the Bachie and his mansion of lovely ladies has managed to pull one over the once invincible Block.

The Bachelor pulled an impressive 783,000 viewers last night according to OzTAM metro numbers, leaving The Block nursing 765,000.

Arguably the evening’s clanger belonged to Seven’s How To Make $10K In 20 Days, the David Koch-hosted money show limping to just 316,000.

Despite all that, Nine still managed a Wednesday win with 30.3 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). That would have been significantly higher had the first day of the cricket not been washed out.

Seven would be disappointed with its 23.6 per cent, 10 would be thrilled with its 22.2 per cent, while the ABC picked up 16.3 per cent and SBS did 7.6 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.051 million, seeing off Nine’s that had 876,000. ACA posted 743,000.

Seven also did well with Home And Away with 652,000 and The Chase with 618,000.

10’s other highlights were The Project (485,000), 10 News First (395,000) and My Life Is Murder (364,000).

The ABC’s night ran this way: 7pm news (644,000), Hard Quiz (619,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (585,000) and 7.30 (549,000).
