Luxury Travel Magazine Reveals First Print Issue After Being Acquired By Indesign Media Group

Indesign Media Group will launch its first print issue of Luxury Travel Magazine since acquiring Luxury Travel Media earlier this year. The digital first media company firmly believes that the stronger it is in digital, the healthier its print offering is – and travel consumers and the industry still love the tactile experience of a luxury print magazine.

With contributions from some of Australia’s most respected travel writers, the magazine centres around the ‘best in luxury travel,’ focusing on the new definition of modern luxury and three intrinsic pillars of today’s luxury movement: authenticity, design and sustainability.

With 10,500 issues in circulation, this very special rethink of the much-loved magazine takes culturally curious readers on authentic luxury journeys around the world, from epicurean travels through New Zealand’s Marlborough at Cloudy Bay to exploring Fiji’s island culture and the cities of Porto, Singapore and the cultural metropolis of Doha.

Editor Katrina Holden’s cover story looks at the changing definition of luxury and what that means for travellers, while Susan Skelly takes readers on a journey through Switzerland. Sally Macmillan explores the best in luxury cruising.  Catherine Marshall goes on safari in Zambia, Ute Junker delves into some of the world’s top design-led resorts, and Craig Tansley explores the world’s best luxury adventure journeys.

The new-look magazine will also cover the best in luxury rail journeys and what they offer passengers, as well as some of the world’s finest wellness experiences. It explores the architecture behind a new luxury estate on Lizard Island and a new resort in the seaside jungles of Bali.

Indesign has resurrected the much-loved Suite Life reviews with a look at suite stays in Sydney, Budapest and Milan and profiles industry pioneers and leaders throughout the magazine.

And, after a nearly four-year hiatus, Luxury Travel Magazine’s annual Gold List Awards will return in 2023. The reader-voted Gold List Awards, first established in 2005, celebrate and recognise the world’s finest five-star resorts and hotels, luxury rail journeys, cruises, airlines and premium tour operators.

Luxury Travel is a magazine dedicated to exploring the world’s most luxurious places, experiences, and people. Our objective is to provide expertly curated content that captures the essence of luxury travel. We aim to inspire our readers with stories about exciting destinations, adventurous activities, remarkable hotels and resorts, luxury products and more. We also want to share stories that delve deeper into luxury travel’s cultural, environmental and social aspects,” Holden said.

The strategy is clearly working already—Luxury Travel Magazine’s website has doubled its unique viewers since Indesign purchased the business in July.

“We’ve introduced a range of new features and formats in our editorial, including interviews with industry experts, insights from leading travel professionals, destination reviews and much more. With each issue, we’ll deliver an in-depth look at the very best in luxury travel so our readers can make informed decisions about their holiday and travel plans,” Holden added.

The new Luxury Travel Magazine will hit newsstands on 1 December, 2022.
