Coca-Cola Set To Release ‘Dreamworld’, A Flavour That Tastes Like Your Subconscious

COCA-COLA has today launched the new Coca-Cola No Sugar in Australia after years of research to create the best tasting sugar-free Coke ever. Coca-Cola No Sugar has been designed to taste as similar to the original Coca-Cola Classic as possible –  and will become a new permanent member of the Coca-Cola family. Available nationally from June 16 2017, the company will give away more than two million free samples to mark the launch.     In its fourth flavour release for the year, Coca-Cola have announced the imminent release of ‘Dreamworld’, a new drink that combines classic coke elements with the “technicolor tastes and surrealism of the subconscious”.

    The new drop is aimed at Gen Z, which the company believes has “passion for the infinite potential of the mind”, according to Alessandra Cascino, creative & shopper program director, Coca-Cola North America Operating Unit.

    It’s not the first abstract idea that Coca-Cola has attempted this year. Previous Creations drops have included Starlight (described as the taste of outer space) and Byte (a flavour supposedly born in the metaverse), along with a Marshmello-branded drink that surprisingly didn’t taste like electronic music.

    There’s been no information yet as to how exactly Coca-Cola plans to capture the taste of a person’s dream, but Cascino added that “like the Coca-Cola Creations that came before it, Dreamworld plays with the unexpected and will no doubt provoke discovery and debate among consumers … which we welcome.”

    The debate that Coca-Cola was hoping for has already begun online, with Twitter users confused as to what exactly the goal is with the new flavour, and whether the dream-inspired taste is actually just hard drugs.
