“Talk About That Off The Air!” Sunrise Hosts Step In & Try To Organise Albo For A Political Debate On Seven

An upcoming election means politicians will be appearing on morning shows and what a time to be alive!

Let’s face it politicians appearing on morning shows always create great television and Sunrise didn’t disappoint when it had Labour Leader Anthony ‘Albo’ Albanese on.

The hosts and the Labour Leader got into a war of words over when a televised debate can be held.

Basically, everyone’s desperate to see Morrison and Albanese have another political debate. You know so people can decide who to vote for.

The Sunrise hosts came armed with plans and dates. They asked Albo if he would agree to a debate on Seven next Thursday. Sadly, Albo had to break the news he had another commitment that day so couldn’t make it.

Albo then said: “Look, Scott Morrison has been trying to say, ‘I’ll decide when every debate will be.”

He also added, “I’ve given a range of dates to Channel 7 in which I’m available and I’m flexible about venues and those discussions are taking place.

“I’m certainly up for a debate.”

He also wouldn’t confirm if it was a family or work commitment.

Barr said: “Well we will get our people to talk to your people and ScoMo’s people because I think we need a debate”.

Albo then cheekily explained that he’d always been reliable to appear on Sunrise.

Kochie bite back and said, “You take a while to get back to us sometimes.”

Albo laughed and said, “That’s not right. I’m desperate to be on Sunrise.”

However, Kochie was a dog with a bone and pointed out Albo had recently turned down an appearance on Sunrise.

Barr said: “We will talk about that off the air.”

Honestly, this kind of election chaos is so ridiculous it’s comforting.

Though there’s something quite funny about Kochie moonlighting as a producer to organise a political debate.
