Kate & Co. PR Wins Four New Clients & Appoints Three New Staff Members

Kate & Co. PR has recently won four new clients across the fashion, beauty and luxury lifestyle space and has appointed three new staff members to support its growth.

The wins include Wanderlust Australia, Review, Runway Room and a project to launch Désordre Boutique’s first Melbourne store.

In addition, the agency will once again be managing the PR for Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW) 2o21, after the successful roll-out of M/FW in October 2020 which saw a mix of runway events and digital activations help to re-energise the Melbourne CBD.

Kate & Co. PR will also be working with Lexus for the upcoming Melbourne Cup Carnival, extending the agency’s existing role as Lexus’ retained lifestyle PR partner.

In the health and lifestyle space, the agency will work on a retainer for wellness brand Wanderlust Australia, providing strategic communications to drive the brand story.

Supporting Wanderlust’s various holistic health events and driving awareness around the launch of the brand’s new plant-active, herbal led supplements and wholefoods range, available in over 2,000 pharmacies nationwide.

In a significant addition to the agency’s fashion portfolio, Kate & Co. PR will be working with Review Australia to launch an exciting artist collaboration in October 2021 – a first for both the brand and the collaborating artist.

The agency will manage a launch event, influencer campaign, ambassador program, media relations campaign and showroom integration for Review.

Kate & Co. PR will also manage the guest list and media relations for the launch of Désordre Boutique’s first Melbourne store.

The much-loved Sydney designer boutique, owned by Shannon Thomas, will open its doors in High Street Armadale soon stocking exclusive collaborations with Australian labels, and housing international designers including Michael Lo Sordo, Christopher Esber, Area NYC and Jonathan Simkai.

Another welcome addition to the agency’s rapidly expanding beauty portfolio is Alex Fevola’s ageless beauty brand, Runway Room.

Kate & Co. PR will work on retainer for Runway Room across media relations, influencer engagement, brand and business profiling, events and new product launches.

Due to this recent client growth, Kate & Co. PR has welcomed three new staff members including: account director, Stephanie Phelps, account manager, Sarah Yarwood and account executive, Ruby Loosli.

Stephanie Phelps joins the team from skincare company, Sand & Sky, where she was Influencer and PR Manager. Prior to that, Stephanie spent a year as PR Manager for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and spent three and a half years with MECCA Brands.

Sarah Yarwood returns to the Kate & Co. PR family after 2 years at French Connection Australia as Marketing Specialist, previously Sarah worked as a Talent Manager for The Co. Collective (Kate & Co. PR’s former talent management agency) and Ruby Loosli joins the team after one year at WrightsPR.

In addition, the team will be further bolstered with support from consultants including Samantha Belteky on M/FW and Sophie McGrath on Lexus.

Kate & Co. PR managing director, Kate Keane, said: “With the ongoing challenges in our industry due to the uncertainty of Covid-19, we are pleased to see the tide starting to turn.

“It’s a joy to welcome our new team members and to also work with industry-leading consultants across a mix of engaging, inspiring new accounts.

“As an agency, we are in a really great place and we look forward to seeing this positive momentum flow through as we look ahead to deliver exceptional communications campaigns for both our new and existing stable of clients.”
