Wednesday TV Wrap: Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell Returns For Lucky Season 13

The season premiere of Shaun Micallef’s news satire, Mad As Hell, returned to 572,000 viewers.

It was an impressive premiere, coming top of its timeslot to beat Big Brother and Doctor Doctor, which had 558,000 and 390,000 respectively.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,074,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,038,000.

Next was A Current Affair with 701,000, followed by ABC News with 676,000.

Nine’s Travel Guides was the top-performing entertainment of the night at 672,000 viewers, tied with ABC’s Hard Quiz, which also came in at 672,000.

Also on the ABC was 7.30 with 623,000 viewers and You Can’t Ask That with 383,000.

For Seven, Home and Away scored 580,000 viewers while The Chase had 67,000.

At Nine, Hot Seat had 516,000.

Finally for 10, MasterChef had 561,000 viewers, The Project had 428,000 and 10 News First had 344,000.

Once again, Nine and Seven were neck and neck to win the night, with Nine (all channels) just edging out on top this time. It had 27.6 per cent of the daily share, while Seven (all channels) had 27.2 per cent.

It was even tighter between Network 10 and the ABC Network, with 10 coming in third with 18.5 per cent of the share, while the ABC had 18.3 per cent.

SBS had eight per cent of the share.
