Thursday TV Wrap: MasterChef Finds Consistent Thursday Night Wins

Again, MasterChef proved to be the dish of choice for Thursday night entertainment with 522,000 viewers.

In last night’s immunity challenge, the chefs had to pick an ingredient, which was paired with another, secret ingredient, and use both in their dish. The result was some tasty looking combos like mango and chilli, along with some slightly more eccentric ones, including blue cheese and corn and liquorice and fig. Tasty!

10 also had MasterChef Australia Masterclass, which nabbed 308,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data.

Seven News came top of the charts with 995,000 viewers, while Nine News had 881,000. Next was A Current Affair with 645,000 viewers while ABC News had 636,000.

Seven’s Home and Away had 507,000, while Nine’s Hot Seat beat The Chase in the battle of the game shows with 476,0000 versus 475,000 viewers.

Over at the ABC, 7.30 had 498,000 viewers while Back Roads scored 430,000 as Kristy O’Brien explored north west Queensland. Also for the ABC was comedy show Sammy J.

For 10, The Project had 436,000 while 10 news First had 336,000.

Nine’s Thursday night NRL coverage had 389,000 viewers as the Storm smashed the Bunnies 50 to zero.

For those more AFL inclined there was Seven’s The Front Bar, which had 314,000 viewers.

Seven (all channels) won control of the daily share with 27 per cent, followed by Nine (all channels) with 26 per cent. Network 10 came a solid third with 20 per cent, followed by the ABC TV Network on 16 per cent and the SBS Network on eight per cent.
