Celeste Barber Encourages Aussies To ‘Get Your Jugs Out’ In Hilarious BRITA Campaign
BRITA Australia has revealed its latest national campaign, ‘Get Your Jugs Out’, starring Australian comedian, Celeste Barber.
The quirky campaign encourages Australians to make the switch from bottled water to great tasting filtered tap water, using a BRITA filter jug at home, with the creative brought to life with Celeste’s cheeky, yet relatable sense of humour.
The creative features two scenes in the familiar style of Celeste’s Instagram content #CelesteChallengeAccepted, mocking the fake perfection of a model, whilst keeping it real.
The first content piece shows a yoga instructor in a zen-like setting, versus Celeste attempting to find a moment of calm in the backyard and kitchen, before talking to the affordability of BRITA filtered water compared to bottled water.
The second content piece shows Celeste casually at-home, compared to a professional model, highlighting how BRITA jugs filter out the nasties from tap water and are a more sustainable solution for drinking water at home, versus bottled water.
Each video concludes with Celeste rallying viewers with the line “So come on Australia, Get Your Jugs Out, and say yes to BRITA filtered water!”
On working with one of Australia’s favourite comedians, Nadine Miller, Marketing Director at BRITA Australia says, “We love Celeste’s down-to-earth personality and easy-going approach to everyday life, she was the perfect match for our campaign!
“We wanted to ensure our campaign call to action – for everyone in Australia to make the switch from drinking bottled water at home to using a BRITA water filter Jug – is memorable and delivered in a manner and approach that is fun, light-hearted and true to Celeste Barber’s cheeky sense of humour. The tagline ‘Get Your Jugs Out’ does just that and it literally talks to our product, the BRITA Jug,” added Ms Miller.
Australian water consumption insights demonstrate just how important and easy it is for households that consume bottled water at home, to save on spending and do good for the environment, simply by choosing a BRITA water filter jug instead, and reducing the amount of single-use plastic water bottles used at home.
Currently, Australians are spending more than $3.2m on bottled water at home each day. This contributes approximately 666,000 tonnes of plastic waste to the nation’s annual total1.
Peter Harley, Managing Director at BRITA Australia says, “BRITA has a vision to change the way people drink water sustainably by offering a simple solution to switch from using single-use plastic bottles at home for their drinking water consumption to a better and smarter way to drink filtered water, by using a BRITA jug to filter their tap water. The cartridges within a BRITA water filter jug reduces the impurities that may exist in tap water, such as chlorine, metals, pesticides and herbicides and result in pure and fresh tasting filtered tap water.”
As the global expert in water filtration systems, BRITA products offer a better sustainable alternative to bottled water. Each cartridge can filter approximately 100Litres of tap water, which eliminates the need for up to 100 one-litre single-use plastic bottles.
BRITA has also invested in a recycling solution for used filter cartridges, once again proving commitment to providing a more sustainable option for drinking water
“With a BRITA water filter jug, everyone can have pure and fresh tasting water, for the cost of only a few cents per litre, which can help households save on spending, especially when budget conservation is as much of a priority as it is right now,” added Mr Harley.
In addition to water filter jugs, BRITA produces and distributes a wide range of innovative drinking water optimisation solutions for home including; water filter bottles, on-tap and mains connected systems. Further, BRITA Professional Filters are available for commercial use in cafes and restaurants in Australia, plus water dispensers connected to the mains for offices, restaurants and the hotel sector.
The ‘Get Your Jugs Out’ TVC staring Celeste Barber will air nationally from September 2020.
