Wednesday TV Wrap: MAFS Goes Massive, Hard Quiz & The Front Bar Enjoy Notable Nights

Yes, another day, another massive night for MAFS as it inched towards the 1.5 million mark. A phenomenal feat and numbers more akin to a show’s finale.

Last night MAFS pulled 1.454 million according to OzTAM metro numbers. However, it didn’t appear to dent MKR, it posted 738,000.

Another standout was the return of Seven’s late night AFL show The Front Bar. It posted 400,000 mainly Melbourne viewers. Nine’s revamped AFL Footy Show could only muster 290,000.

Nine easily won Wednesday with 35.3 per cent audience share. Then came Seven (27.6 per cent), the ABC (16 per cent), 10 (13.7 per cent) and SBS (7.2 per cent).

Meanwhile, Sunrise (270,000) lapped Today (181,000).

Over at the ABC, Hard Quiz did 697,000 and the returning The Weekly With Charlie Pickering had 604,000. ABC’s 7pm news (715,000) and 7.30 (593,000) were Aunty’s other highlights.

Seven did well with its 6pm news (953,000), Home And Away (648,000), The Chase (537,000) and Modern Family (380,000).

Nine’s 6pm news did 894,000, ACA had 797,000 and Hot Seat did 470,000.

Over at 10, The Project was back baiting the PM and it had 431,000. 10 News First pulled 386,000, while Bondi Rescue was disappointing with just 304,000.

Best for SBS was Australia In Colour which knocked-up a neat 300,000.
