Converse’s Celebration Of Talented Women Comes With A Neat Brexit Twist

Flying the social cause banner is pretty de rigueur in advertising this days, so it’s hats off to sneaker brand Converse for promoting not one but two causes in its latest UK campaign.

Titled “Spark Progress”, the spot not only celebrates the work of talented women, but finishes with the tagline “while others are busy deciding our future, we’re busy making our own”. Clearly are dig at the current Brexit chaos that has enveloped the country.

The ad’s the work of legendary London agency Wieden+Kennedy and stars singer Ama Lou, menswear designer Paria Farzaneh, skater Lava La Rue, fashion designer Feng Chen Wang and pop artist Raye.

Converse – which is actually owned by Nike – has described the five women as “ongoing creative partners” who “each represent the spirit of the Converse brand”.
