St.George’s Santa Suffers A Cash Crisis In Festive Spot Via Saatchi & Saatchi

To help its customers keep track of their finances this holiday season, St.George Bank has launched ‘Festive Finances’, an integrated campaign to demonstrate how its banking app can assist.

Created by Saatchi & Saatchi, the campaign features the bank’s well-loved character, Little Dragon, this time appearing alongside Father Christmas as the pair contemplate their festive finances and whether or not they can afford to visit everyone this Christmas.

Acknowledging that many Australians are going to spend more over the Christmas period, St. George Bank wants to make it simple for its customers to keep track of their budget, allowing them to choose where and how they spend.

The campaign will roll out across broadcast television, cinema, digital, online video, out of home advertising, retail digital screens and on social. The social component of the campaign also includes a custom made Snapchat lens.

St.George Bank’s head of brand and advertising, Kate Kissane, said: “As a bank we understand the financial pressure of Christmas meaning it can be a tricky time to talk about finances.

“We wanted to spread a Christmas message that helps our customers keep track of their spending so they have confidence in where they are at and can make informed decisions about when to splurge and when to save.”

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney deputy executive creative director Sesh Moodley said: “Juggling the Christmas budget can be stressful, so it’s great that St.George Bank has developed its banking app to help people overcome that.

“The ‘Festive Finances’ campaign is a fun seasonal extension to the well-performing Little Dragon campaign.”
