Paul Nagy To Depart From Clemenger BBDO Sydney

After a decade with the Clemenger Group, executive creative director Paul Nagy has tendered his resignation from the Clemenger BBDO Sydney offices. Nagy, who has been ECD for five years in Sydney, came to the Aussie team after five years at Clems in Wellington.

Clemenger Group executive chairman Robert Morgan said, “I would like to thank Paul for a huge contribution to our company both here and in New Zealand.

“He is a fantastic creative leader and a brilliant person. We wish him the very best in the future.”

Nagy has been at the helm of highly award-winning work throughout his time, including campaigns for NZ Road Safety, World Press Photo, Virgin, Skittles, TedX, Tourism Australia, Hungry Jack’s, Campbells and Dolmio’s recent ‘Pepper Hacker’, Whiskas ‘Castacam’ and MasterFoods ‘Make Dinnertime Matter’.

Under his leadership, the team in Sydney has also snagged the covered B&T award for Campaign of the Year, as well as being recognised at Cannes, D&AD, Spikes, Webby’s and more.

“I’m immensely proud of what the agency has achieved in my time here and I’m humbled to have been able to work with, and learn from, some of the most talented and generous people in the industry, on both sides of the Tasman.

“I leave behind very close friends who I know will go on to do great things, and no one will be cheering louder than I.”

“It’s been a rollercoaster five years for the industry and the Agency, and throughout it all Paul has been a wonderful partner,” CEO Andy Pontin said.

“He’s simply one of the best and nicest blokes in advertising.”

Nagy will wrap up at Clems in early 2017, with a replacement to be announced in due course.
