MKR: Final four teams brings just under 2 million viewers
Just under two million people tuned in to see who the four teams in the finals would be on Seven’s My Kitchen Rules last night.
According to OzTam preliminary ratings, 1.961 million switched on the telly to see how the twins from Victoria, Helena and Vikki, fared against the pressure.
The twins’ score of 65 was enough to push Thalia and Bianca from the competition, where their instant restaurant grabbed 1.877 million viewers on Monday night.
MKR nabbed first place last night in the top 20 shows from yesterday for the third time in a row, as more than two million watched the Adelaide mums and their cooking on Tuesday night.
The number of viewers last night helped Seven find victory with a total combined share of 37.2% with 30.2% going to the network’s primary channel.
Home and Away on Seven also dominated the viewers last night (971,000), sitting just behind the news on Seven and Nine and winning its 7pm timeslot with 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s.
Seven managed to find six of its programs nestled within the top 20 shows, with Intelligence and Million Dollar Minute coming in ninth and 15th with 850,000 and 554,000 viewers respectively behind MKR, the news and Home and Away.
Nine was awarded silver last night with a total share of 24.3% as its main channel saw 16%.
Behind the network’s news programs, the top shows were Hot Seat with 622,000 viewers and the soothing voice of Sir David Attenborough as he divulged the secrets of wild India (472,000).
ABC came third with a total share of 18%, ABC1 with 12.3% and six shows in the top 20.
Also behind its news programs, QI came 11th (750,000 viewers), The Agony of Modern Manners was in 16th place (500,000), Spicks and Specks just behind in 17th place (478,000) and The Checkout was 19th (454,000).
Ten found fourth place with a total share of 15.7% and three shows in the top 20.
With Ten’s main channel grabbed 10% of the network’s share, the three shows in the top 20 were Ten Eyewitness News in 12th place (670,000 viewers), The Project at 7pm in 14th place (576,000) and The Project at 6.30pm in 20th place (447,000).
SBS came fifth with a total share of 4.8% with SBS One seeing 3.7%.
