“Mishap Or Marketing Stunt?” Movie Poster Goes Viral For Excluding Movie Title

“Mishap Or Marketing Stunt?” Movie Poster Goes Viral For Excluding Movie Title

We like nothing more at B&T than a marketing mishap, and The Northman’s movie posters failing to contain the film title is bringing us some joy.

The movie posters, which are proudly displayed in prime New York real estate on the subway, have the tagline on them, “Conquer your fate!”

A photo of all the all-star cast, which consists of Alexander Skarsgärd, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor-Joy and Ethan Hawke, but one small thing is missing…. the title.

Yes, there’s actually no The Northman displayed on The Northman‘s movie posters.

Did someone forget to proof it?

Naturally, the mistake is going viral on Twitter.

It’s also worth noting this isn’t a little indie film with a small marketing budget. The film allegedly cost over $90 million to make.

So we are in blockbuster territory here; oh well, hopefully, this means they’ll have money in their budgets to do a reprint.

However, as one Twitter user pointed out, the mistake has made the marketing campaign go viral!  So maybe it wasn’t a mistake.. after all!
