The Good Oil With Scott Phillips is a new LiSTNR podcast that breaks down how the world of investing, economics, and finance works; so that we can make more informed financial decisions and start growing our own wealth.

Audiences already know Phillips as the host of Motley Fool Money podcast, one of the most popular finance podcasts in Australia.

The Good Oil sees Phillips take on the role of interviewer. Having managed his own investment portfolio for more than 15 years, as well as all four of the Motley Fool investment services, Phillip’s decades of experience in the industry has exposed him to the good, bad and the ugly of the financial world and provided him with the critical insights to identify the companies and industry leaders who are innovating and leading the way.

In The Good Oil, Phillips invites globally successful leaders in industries like finance, investing, property and tech to explain how their industry works, what part it plays in our economy, and to share their unique insights into the future of that industry, as well as where the financial opportunities lie.

Guests for the series include financial icons and entrepreneurs including Stephen Koukoulas, managing director at market economics and former economics advisor to the Gillard government, Eliza Owen, head of Australian research at CoreLogic, and Ruslan Kogan, CEO and Founder of Kogan.com.

In this series, Scott and his guests are on a mission to empower Australians to take charge of their own wealth, by busting the myth that the world of finance is too complicated to get involved in.
