Witchery Partners With GlamCorner To Boost Subscription Shopping
Australian fashion brand Witchery has partnered with B Corp GlamCorner as part of GlamCorner’s subscription box offering as the demand for everyday essentials soars.
This partnership marks another milestone for the Australian fashion industry towards becoming more circular and introducing more paths to reduce textile waste.
Customers nationally will be able to rent more of their favourite everyday looks by Witchery exclusively via GlamCorner’s Subscription Membership. Since GlamCorners subscription offering was introduced in 2019, the demand for subscription has taken off and GlamCorner has since introduced a range of wardrobe supplements including workwear, casual and maternity looks.
GlamCorner has seen a huge demand in workwear separates and smart everyday essentials since restrictions have started to ease averaging a 200 per cent increase year on year as part of the subscription box. The Witchery collection will cater to the demand for more everyday rental essentials GlamCorner customers are looking for to supplement their wardrobe with an array of knits, midi-dresses, skirts and blouses.
As part of Country Road Group’s commitment to the Good Business Journey, this partnership with GlamCorner represents the next step for Witchery to support the circular economy, promote ethical trade, sustainable farming and sourcing of raw materials, energy efficiency, waste reduction, water stewardship, and social development.
Audrey Khaing-Jones, COO and Co-founder of GlamCorner said: “The demand for everyday essentials through our rental subscription box has surged. We have seen a huge increase in workwear separates in particular, specifically skirts, tops, suits and coats and jackets averaging a 200 per cent increase year on year.
“Working with Witchery helps cater to the demand for more rental solutions and accelerate Aussies to a more circular fashion economy. We’ve shared 500 tonnes of clothing to date and every new partnership takes us one step closer to our goal of tackling Australia’s mounting textile waste problem.”
Witchery Head of Marketing, Nicky Rowsell, said: “Witchery is delighted to be aligning with GlamCorner to provide everyday outfitting solutions and 24/7 style to their loyal customers.
“The past year has seen our customer’s engagement with fashion shift, and not only does GlamCorner’s innovative subscription model allow customers to access numerous styles on their terms, it also allows them to support the circular fashion economy and significantly reduce the impact of new or unused clothing in their wardrobe.
“As part of our Good Business Journey, Witchery is committed to working on new and interesting ways to be more circular as a business. Partnering with GlamCorner to extend the life cycle of Witchery pieces via the rental market is an exciting step forward in reducing our fashion footprint and making a positive impact to the environment we live and work in”.
