The Grace Tales, an Australian media platform aimed at inspiring and entertaining mothers, has been acquired by the women’s-only network AllBright, headquartered in the UK.

Georgie Abay (pictured), former deputy editor at Australian VOGUE founded The Grace Tales in 2013. The announcement comes just before International Women’s Day on March 8.

AllBright was co-founded in 2018 by Debbie Wosskos OBE, former CEO of Love Home Swap and Anna Jones, former CEO of Hearst to give women a space to elevate their careers through both online memberships and, in London, a physical women’s club.

Abay will head up the recently launched Australian arm of the business. It has been launched after a particularly difficult year for women, as seen in a recent UN Women report which suggested that the impact of the pandemic puts women’s progress back by a generation.

AllBright Australia will provide training and events for working women looking to upskill and connect with one another around the globe.

This acquisition comes off the back of three successful investment rounds which have raised a total of $42 million in funds for the business. It also coincides with the global 24-hour Sisterhood Summit for IWD, which will feature guest speakers like Australia’s 2021 Woman Of The Year, Grace Tame.

Abay said, “joining forces with such a like-minded company was a very natural next step for The Grace Tales. Since the beginning, The Grace Tales has been about supporting and inspiring women, and by merging with AllBright, we can now better achieve our common goal of helping women achieve anything they set their minds to.”

“Working with AllBright’s exceptional Global Director of Partnerships Nicki Singh, who has significant experience in the Australian market for titles such as Grazia and BAZAAR, I’m thrilled to bring such a unique and exciting offering to Australian brand partners and bringing innovative campaigns to life.”

AllBright co-founder Debbie Wosskow said, “the last year highlighted the ongoing challenged women continue to face but also how the crisis has acted as a catalyst for positive change.”

The Grace Tales acquisition allows us to further invest in rich content opportunities to promote our mission of female resilience, and upskill and support our community at scale.”

In celebration of the launch, AllBright Australia will run an exclusive offer for Australians to experience a one-month complimentary digital membership, including access to the International Women’s Day 24-hour summit.
