Teradata Announces New APAC Marketing Lead

Teradata has appointed ex-Aruba marketer Christine Hwang to the newly created role of vice president of APJ Marketing.

Based in Singapore, Hwang will work closely with the APJ leadership team to develop the region’s marketing strategy, objectives and action plans, and ensure marketing activity across the markets delivers a measurable impact on Teradata’s APJ business, including focusing on new cloud opportunities in the rapidly growing Australian market.

Hwang joins Teradata from Aruba, a Hewlett-Packard Enterprise company, where she led APJ marketing. Hwang brings leadership experience across all aspects of marketing, in particular enterprise networking, cloud, security, data management, and storage and digital marketing.  Before joining Aruba in 2015, she spent 11 years with NetApp in various marketing roles supporting the APJ region.

Teradata delivers pervasive data intelligence that enables Australian organisations across a range of sectors, including banking and financial services, telecommunications and government, to leverage all of their data, all of the time.

With Teradata’s strong cloud focus, Hwang will also work with country marketing teams to explore new ways the company can assist customers on cloud journeys. This includes marketing programs with cloud platform partners and developing alternate go-to-market initiatives.

“I am excited to start this new chapter with Teradata and look forward to working with marketing leads across APJ in driving solid business outcomes and building a marketing organisation that delivers a new level of value to our current and future customers,” Hwang said.
