Herald Sun 'wipes off' page five

Five cents have been wiped from the cover prices of Melbourne’s Herald Sun and the Geelong Advertiser today as the paper’s join the Transport Accident Commission’s (TAC) ‘Wipe off 5’ campaign.

‘Wipe Off 5’ is a safe driving campaign that reminds drivers the dangers of exceeding the speed limit even slightly and is timed to coincide with next week’s AFL Safety Round.

The newspapers have also ‘wiped’ page five clean and are sporting ‘Wipe off 5’ ads on the front page and throughout the titles.

The Herald Sun’s masthead has also been changed for the day from ‘We’re for Victoria’ to ‘We’re for Road Safety’.
