Tuesday TV Wrap: 10’s Pooch Program ‘The Dog House’ Launches To 480,000 While SAS Australia Finale Scores 630,000

Network 10’s newest program, The Dog House Australia -voiced by celebri-vet Dr Chris Brown – received under 500,000 metro viewers on its launch, scoring 480,000 according to OzTAM’s metro data.

The premise of the show is uniting dogs at Animal Welfare League NSW with potential owners, which is very wholesome.

On top overall was Seven News with 935,000 viewers, while Seven also had the SAS Australia finale with 631,000 – where (spoilers ahoy!) Sam Burgess was crowned winner – Home and Away with 587,000 and The Chase with 476,000.

For Nine, Nine News had 884,000, followed by The Block with 849,000, A Current Affair with 685,000, Hot Seat with 400,000, Tipping Point with 295,000 and Love Island Australia with 279,000.

As well as The Dog House, 10 also had The Project with 431,000 viewers, The Cheap Seats with 330,000 and 10 News First with 310,000.

Finally, for the ABC, ABC News had 718,000 viewers, 7.30 had 501,000 and The Greek Islands With Julia Bradbury had 339,000.

Looking now to the daily share, the Seven Network won the night with 29.5 per cent, followed by the Nine Network at 27.7 per cent.

In third was Network 10 with 19.8 per cent, followed by the ABC TV network with 15.1 per cent and the SBS Network with 7.9 per cent.

Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV Report for Tuesday October 5th, the top three were, once again, Seven News, The Block and Nine News in that order.

The total audience numbers went 1,659,000 for Seven News (metro: 1,033,000, regional: 583,000, BVOD: 36,000); 1,448,000 for The Block (metro: 892,000, regional: 295,000, regional: 195,000); and 1,335,000 for Nine News (metro: 958,000, regional: 339,000, BVOD: 36,000).

Other notables included the final reveal of 10’s The Masked Singer, which had a total audience of 1,217,000 (metro: 771,000, regional: 301,000, BVOD: 54,000).

And, once again, the program with the highest lift on overnight was SAS Australia at 33 per cent, bringing its total tv audience to 1,119,000 (metro: 564,000, regional: 278,000, BVOD: 164,000).
