Thursday TV Wrap: Gogglebox Tops Entertainment, But Nine Has Another Nightly Win

10’s Gogglebox was the easy winner of Thursday’s entertainment ratings, with an audience of 667,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data.

While Gogglebox topped the ranks, there were a handful of other contenders too, most notably Home and Away, Home and Away Late and The Chase, which consistently perform well.

Last night they had 578,000, 521,000, and 540,000 viewers respectively.

Seven News topped the overall ratings with 1,065,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,043,000, ABC News with 722,000 and A Current Affair with 716,000.

The ABC’s night saw 7.30 score 577,000 viewers, while Foreign Correspondent had 430,000.

On Nine, Hot Seat had 518,000, RBT had 512,000, Tipping Point had 344,000 and the arvo news had 340,000.

Finally for 10, The Project had 444,000, 10 News First had 353,000, and Making It Australia had 341,000.

Looking at the daily share now, the Nine Network continued their winning streak with 27.9 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network with 25.4 per cent. Network 10 had 20.1 per cent, the ABC TV Network had 17.1 per cent and the SBS Network had 9.4 per cent.

Over to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Thursday September 23rd, which saw Seven News on top with a total audience of 1,681,000 (metro: 1,048,000, regional: 595,000, BVOD: 35,000).

Next was Nine News with 1,345,000 total viewers (metro: 957,000, regional: 350,000, BVOD: 36,000), followed by Home and Away at 1,132,000 total viewers (metro: 595,000, regional: 353,000, BVOD: 136,000).

The show with the highets lift on overnight was Gogglebox at 25 per cent, giving it a total audience of 937,000 (metro: 529,000, regional: 218,000, BVOD: 33,000).
