QMS Shines A Light On B&T Women In Media Award Winners Via Its Outdoor Network

QMS has recognised and celebrated this year’s winners of the B&T Women in Media Awards by, once again, shining a bright light on all the talented and inspiring women across its premium digital outdoor network around Australia.

The digital billboard campaign will feature all 27 winners from the awards held last Friday, including Nina Funnell (#LetHerSpeak: news.com.au), who was named Woman of the Year, as well as winning the Glass Ceiling Award and the Journalist/Producer category; Nine’s Tina Andrew, who took out the People’s Choice category; and Melinda Geertz of Leo Burnett, who was awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award (which was sponsored by QMS).

For the past four years, QMS has been a proud partner of the B&T Women in Media Awards, as its commitment to foster an inclusive and supportive culture for women continues to grow.

Sara Lappage, chief operating officer-customer at QMS, said the awards help to keep the industry focused on progression as it celebrates and empowers women and their achievements.

“In the time that we have been involved with the awards, we have seen tremendous support across the industry for more positive change in relation to the attitudes towards and empowerment of women,” she said.

“Despite the pandemic challenges that continue to affect us all, these awards remain vital in ensuring we acknowledge and celebrate strong, powerful and inspirational women each and every year.”

As a judge for this year’s B&T Women in Media Awards, Lappage said it was “so rewarding” to hear the stories of the nominees firsthand and to see “so many remarkable women committed to driving positive change in our industry”.

“Equally as encouraging are the stories of support and guidance they are receiving from those around them, as the next generation push forward and make their mark,” she added.

“QMS is proud to continue to partner with B&T to make these awards more memorable each year, and to provide a platform for the winners to shine bright and showcase their achievements to the broader community.”
