WW Ambassador, Jackie O, has revealed she has lost 10 kg with WW (formerly Weight Watchers) in just a few months.

After gaining weight during lockdown last year, which left her feeling unhealthy, self-conscious and reluctant to leave the house, the popular KIIS 106.5 host and The Masked Singer panellist became WW’s latest ambassador and signed up to the program.

Designed for ease and long term effectiveness, WW is a science-backed approach that supports people in changing their habits for life. With no food or drink off-limits, members never feel restricted. Every food and drink is assigned a SmartPoints value – one simple number based on the kilojoules, protein, saturated fat and sugar it contains, designed to remove the guesswork and nudge you towards making healthier food choices.

Protein drives the SmartPoints value down, while sugar and saturated fat drive it up. Members get a personalised SmartPoints budget based on their lifestyle which they can spend on anything they like, and there are also hundreds of healthy ZeroPoint foods that don’t have to be measured or tracked so members never have to go hungry.

All members are supported by the WW app, which comes packed with wellness tools, including: food, weight, fitness, hydration and sleep tracking; 24/7 coach support; on-demand workouts for all levels and abilities;

Headspace meditations and 5 Minute Mindset coaching; thousands of nutritious and customised recipes; and a dedicated social network where members can motivate each other sharing tips, hacks, progress and other inspiration.

Jackie O said:  “In just a matter of months, I feel like my old self again,

“I’m healthier, I have so much more energy and, most importantly, I’ve got my confidence back! If we weren’t still in lockdown, I’d be ready to get out and socialise!

“The key difference between this lockdown and the last one is that I’ve had the WW app to keep me accountable!

“I didn’t realise where I was going wrong until I started tracking what I was eating – it made me much more mindful about my choices.

“I can still enjoy all my favourite things, whether it’s a burger at the weekend or a glass of wine at night, I just make sure they fit within my daily budget and balance them with healthy options. It’s so easy to follow and stick to!

“The WW app is full of delicious and easy recipes, from quick midweek meals to fun family ideas that I can cook with my daughter – we’re big fans of banana pancakes these days! WW’s ‘What’s in your fridge?’ feature comes in very handy when you have no idea what to make with what’s on hand. I can still enjoy takeaways on WW, but I’ve definitely been eating less of them!”

Mathieu Le Renard, managing director of WW in ANZ, said: “We know that it can be difficult to keep a healthy routine, especially in times like these.

“We’re so proud that our WW app was able to provide Jackie O with the tools, inspiration and support to keep her on track and achieve her goals.

“We hope her newfound health and confidence will inspire others who wish to make a healthy change too.”
