Tuesday TV Wrap: News Numbers Soar Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

News numbers are rising across the board and Australians keenly tune in amid the current COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe.

News across Seven (1.14m), Nine (983,000), ABC (880,000) and 10 (511,000) are up, according to Tuesday night’s OzTAM metro numbers.

In terms of primary channel share, Nine won with 23.6 per cent, Seven came in with 16.6 per cent, ABC did 13.7 per cent, 10 did 12.1 per cent and SBS did 5.1 per cent.

Nine

MAFS did 1.07m, ACA did 850,000, a COVID-19 special did 637,000 and Hot Seat did 450,000.

Survivor did 728,000 and The Project did 512,000.

Seven 

Home and Away did 606,000, The Chase did 587,000 and MKR did 468,000.

ABC

Over at the ABC, 7.30 did 823,000 and Foreign Correspondent did 597,000, Revelation did 456,000 and ABC Kids’ Bluey did 458,000.

All channels share

Nine came first with 30.5 per cent audience share, Seven followed on 23.9 per cent, ABC did 19.8 per cent, 10 did 17.5 per cent, and SBS did 8.4 per cent.

  1. Nine – 35.0 per cent
  2. 10 – 21.9 per cent
  3. Seven – 21.5 per cent

People 16-39

  1. Nine – 33.3 per cent
  2. 10 – 24.8 per cent
