Whoops! Adidas Accidentally Leaks Arsenal’s $109 Million Kit Launch Ad

Like pretty much anything to do with the English Premier League, the unveiling of a new team shirt – or kit as it’s better known in the UK – is big news indeed.

So, there was some red faces at Adidas over the weekend after the German sportswear giant accidentally leaked an ad for Arsenal’s 2019-2020 kit three days before it was supposed to.

Adidas is Arsenal’s new official sportswear supplier after it inked a £60 million ($A109 million) a season, five-year deal to replace incumbent Puma last October.

The deal is the third most lucrative in world football, behind Nike’s £140 million ($A254 million) kit sponsorship of Barcelona and Adidas’ £75 million ($A136 million) sponsorship of Manchester United.

The leaked ad – that Gunners fans apparently found mistakenly posted to Adidas’ Facebook page on Friday – celebrates Arsenal’s home or, more to the point, all things “North London” including the traditional barber’s shop and greasy spoon breakfast.

Check out the leaked spot below:
