Jeremy Bierma – Bohemia
Jeremy has spent the last eight years growing some of Australia’s biggest businesses through the art of performance marketing. He is currently the performance director at Bohemia, managing a team of seven people. Over his career, Jeremy has learnt that mastering performance marketing is more than understanding the tech and data. Rather, it’s about being a “human in a robot suit”.
When it comes to the meaning of success, Jeremy credits being able to support a team’s emotional ups and downs, as well as their functional learning needs.
Jeremy won best performance campaign in the agency for 2018 and won the title of happiest team in the agency.
Jeremy has solidified himself as a future leader by his passion for being involved in the AI space of marketing. He has been invited alongside industry leaders to join programs such as Google Performance Honours Program, Adobe Advertising Cloud Academy, MFA 5+ Critical Thinking and Quantcast Evangelist Program, an exclusive program exploring the field of artificial intelligence and the future of advertising.
Stella Xu – The Trade Desk
Stella started her career at WPP’s market research arm, Millward Brown, sparking her interest of working in the media. Stella then moved to the CSIRO, where she could further grow her strategic vision in the tech industry.
Now working at The Trade Desk (TTD), Stella quickly picked up aspects of trading and digital-marketing. With a creative approach, she designed customer-acquisition strategies for an e-commerce site, ensuring 20 times ROI.
In 2018, she launched TTD’s new platform with surfing-themed roadshows among 10 agencies, which reached a 50 per cent adoption rate in two months.
In 2017, Stella was invited to speak at the largest analytics group Data Science Sydney (at just 22 years of age.) She introduced the application of big data in digital advertising industry to over 200 data scientists working in various industries. Aside from career achievements, Stella also mentors an Iraqi boy through a refugee youth mentorship program.
Tyler Hamilton – Versa
Tyler’s career started while driving a forklift at a brick factory in Albury. Realising he wanted more, on a whim he moved to Melbourne and studied advertising at RMIT. After taking on internships across the globe, he landed a role at Deepend as a creative technologist. Six months on, he was presented with the opportunity to travel to America to learn everything there is to know about voice experience. This is where his career at Versa took off.
Versa was launched as Australia’s first and largest conversationalist agency and Tyler landed the gig of Australia’s first conversational strategist.
Versa and Tyler’s first three clients were Village Cinemas, Flight Centre and Dominos. Tyler helped Versa win the B&T Award for emerging agency of the year in 2018. Tyler also helped grow the Versa team from four to 20.
In October 2018, Tyler was invited to Seattle to take part in (Amazon’s) Alexa Advisory council which consisted of 20 global Alexa developers providing their feedback on unannounced Alexa features.
