Atomic 212° Retains Key Northern Territory Clients

Australian independent media agency Atomic 212° has been reappointed to the Tourism Northern Territory and Northern Territory Government advertising accounts, effective 1 April.

The reappointment is for a period of two years.

Atomic 212° has worked for Tourism Northern Territory and the Northern Territory Government since 2015.

The combined annual billings of the accounts are $27 million.

Atomic 212° chairman Barry O’Brien OAM said: “We are thrilled to extend our highly successful partnership with Tourism Northern Territory and the Northern Territory Government.

“The Northern Territory has entered a new phase of international and domestic recognition and we are proud to be part of that journey.

“There are fantastic opportunities to position the Northern Territory at the forefront of global tourism, enhance its economic growth and create new local employment opportunities.”

O’Brien said Atomic 212° was particularly proud of its work for the Parrtjima festival, which experienced a 35 per cent increase in visitors last year and achieved a record attendance.

The 2019 festival takes place from 5 April to 14 April.

Atomic 212° opened an office in Darwin in September 2018. The Darwin office now has a staff of six was appointed to the Charles Darwin University advertising account late last year.

O’Brien said: “There is a strong spirit of community and innovation that drives the Northern Territory and we are honoured to be part of that.

“Our expansion in the Northern Territory has and will continue to provide the foundation for ground-breaking work and innovative solutions.

“The outcome is strong business results for our clients, who work closely with our Darwin general manager, Ben Carroll, and have full access to the resources of our offices in Sydney and Melbourne.”

The reappointment to the Tourism Northern Territory and Northern Territory Government accounts follows recent client wins at Atomic 212° including Beyond Blue, NSW Police Force, NSW Rural Fire Service and Charles Darwin University.
