McDonald’s And KFC Unveil Their 2017 Christmas Ads

McDonald’s and chickeny rival KFC have unveiled their annual Christmas ads in the UK that are both cute and arguably proof you don’t need spend a motza to make an effective ad.

The Macca’s ad was created by Leo Burnett UK and features a cute father-daughter scenario and a subtle health message, too. The young daughter finds an odd attachment to a McDonald’s carrot stick that we learn she’s weaseling away for Santa’s reindeer.

Meanwhile, KFC has gone a rather non-Santa approach with its spot that has a group of singers banging away on its famous buckets all with the theme “those who roll together, feast together”.

The ad is the work of Mother London and was apparently shot in a single take. The campaign will include TV, radio, OOH, social, print and POS. KFC will also be introducing five artist-designed buckets for the festive period.
