Continuing to bolster the senior ranks of its creative team, full-service creative agency Redengine SCC has appointed Duncan Shields as creative director.
Previous to this role, Shields has held senior creative positions at Y&R Group, M&C Saatchi S&E and DDB in Australia as well as RMG/JWT in London.
He played an instrumental role in launching Telstra’s 4G network and his work has also helped major brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, McDonald’s and Steggles.
Commenting on his appointment, Shields said: “Red Engine SCC is the perfect blend of strategy, creativity and production capabilities.
“I’m super excited to be joining the team at a very exciting time for the business and look forward to working with their impressive list of clients.”
The new appointment also coincides with the return of senior digital content strategist, Paul Isbell, to the role of strategy and social media director.
Redengine SCC founder and CEO, Julian Townley, says: “As Redengine SCC continues to build on our core foundation capabilities in content, social media and digital, we are also focused on evolving toward a robust integrated creative agency offering and we’re thrilled to have Duncan taking on this key leadership role in the agency as we continue this journey.
“Duncan will also play a pivotal role with Engine Room Productions, our in-house production company.
“We’re also super excited to have Paul return after a stint working client side, where he helped take charge of Virgin Mobile Australia’s social media and content.
“He is a true talent and all round nice guy and we can’t wait to get him back in front of our clients, all of which he made a lasting impact on.”
